AAI undertakes measures to assist stranded passengers at Agartala airport

Agartala, Dec 11 (UNI) The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has undertaken various measures to alleviate the challenges faced by stranded passengers at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala due to operational disruptions by IndiGo Airlines.
Airport Director Krishan Mohan Mehra stated that 39 IndiGo flights were cancelled over the past 10 days, causing significant inconvenience for hundreds of travellers with medical appointments and other urgent commitments outside the state.
While AAI does not have the authority to manage flights, the airport team, in collaboration with the CISF, various airlines, and other stakeholders, increased the seating capacity within the terminal and added extra seating outside the airport to accommodate passengers who were unable to return home after cancellations.
