Arunachal: 5 drug peddlers held, over 140gm heroin seized in 2 ops

Itanagar, May 8 (UNI) Police teams from Naharlagun and Banderdewa Police stations apprehended five people, including a woman, and seized over 140 grams of suspected heroin in two back-to-back operations, Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said on Thursday.
In the first operation on Wednesday, acting on intelligence input, a police team led by Inspector Krishnendu Dev, officer-in-charge of Naharlagun PS, raided the Prem Nagar area.
The team, comprising sub-inspectors Sunny Hodong and Vivek Linggi and other personnel, apprehended one Md Sariful Islam (36), a resident of Bihpuria, Assam, and recovered 37 vials of suspected heroin weighing 48.7 grams from his possession.
