Tripura to celebrate 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram

Agartala, Nov 6 (UNI) Tripura government is gearing up to celebrate 150th anniversary of the national song 'Vande Mataram' over the year, starting from November 7 onwards, Tourism Minister and cabinet Spokesperson Sushanta Chowdhury said on Thursday.
He said that the celebrations will unfold in four phases as part of a nationwide campaign initiated by the Ministry of Culture. The Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) Department has been appointed as the main coordinating body to organize a variety of events throughout the state.
"The Ministry of Culture has communicated this decision to state governments, and in line with their directive, we've mapped out a comprehensive schedule for the year-long celebration," he said.
