Keonjhar set for mega steel plant as Odisha CM launches major infra projects

Bhubaneswar, April 13 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced that the foundation stone for the proposed Keonjhar mega steel plant will be laid soon, marking a significant step in the state’s industrial expansion. While inaugurating and laying foundation stones for multiple development projects in Keonjhar district, the Chief Minister said the government has been steadily fulfilling its commitments toward regional growth and infrastructure improvement.
As part of the development drive, the foundation stone for the Barbil bypass ring road project was also laid. The 18-km-long ring road is expected to ease traffic congestion and fulfill a long-pending demand of the local people.
The Chief Minister inaugurated 24 projects worth Rs 29.41 crore and laid the foundation stones for 51 projects valued at Rs 326.43 crore. He noted that these initiatives were aimed at strengthening infrastructure and improving public services in the district.
