'Public transport must evolve with technology and terrain,' says Manipur ACS Anurag Bajpai

Imphal, Dec 8 (UNI) The Manipur Transport Department on Monday launched a three-day refresher course for Manipur State Transport (MST) drivers and conductors with a strong emphasis on safety, modernisation and service quality.
Speaking at the inaugural event at the Institute of Drivers Training and Research Centre (IDTRC), Top Dussara, Imphal East, Anurag Bajpai, Chief Wildlife Warden and Additional Chief Secretary (Transport), said the programme reflects the government’s firm commitment to strengthening the foundations of public transport in Manipur.
He stressed that public mobility, safety and the needs of ordinary citizens remain top priorities, noting that MST buses continue to be one of the most widely used and affordable modes of travel for those without private vehicles.
