Manipur official flags off IDPs for resettlement

Imphal, Dec 4 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur Pooja Elangbam on Thursday flagged off Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from the Leimaram High School Relief Camp for their resettlement at Leimaram Waroiching under the revenue jurisdiction of Nambol sub-division of Sadu Koireng, Bishnupur district.
A total of 257 IDPs from 64 households were resettled today.
Addressing the gathering before the departure, the Deputy Commissioner said the day marked a “significant and meaningful moment” as many IDPs were finally able to return to their homes. She said the return of the displaced families signals a positive step towards rebuilding a peaceful and stable society.
