Telangana govt appoints Ex-OYO CXO Kavikrut as new CEO of T-Hub

Hyderabad, Mar 7 (UNI) Telangana Government has appointed Ex-OYO CXO Kavikrut as the new CEO of T-Hub, one of the world’s leading startup incubators, dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and scaling startups through impactful programs, global market access, and deep industry collaboration.
With effect from March 10, his appointment underscores T-Hub’s commitment to nurturing startups that deliver world-class products and services, further strengthening Telangana’s position as a leading hub for entrepreneurship, a release said here on Friday.
T-Hub has supported over 2,000 startups.
Kavikrut’s appointment will further strengthen T-Hub's mission to empower entrepreneurs, accelerate startup growth, and drive the development of world-class products from India for the world.
With a career spanning entrepreneurship and corporate leadership, the Ex-OYO CXO was most recently the Chief Growth Officer at OYO, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint across 100+ cities in India, launching new ventures, and leading as well as scaling multiple business functions.
He also spearheaded OYO’s international expansion into Japan in partnership with Yahoo! Japan and SoftBank Japan in 2018.
His deep expertise will be critical in strengthening T-Hub’s role as a leading enabler of startup growth and market expansion.
Under Kavikrut’s leadership, T-Hub will grow the startup ecosystem by enabling founders and their ventures to scale, achieve profitability, and maximize their impact, with a key focus on strengthening Hyderabad and Telangana’s position as a leading startup hub.
Welcoming Kavikrut’s appointment, Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary (IT and Industries), Government of Telangana, stated “Kavikrut’s passion for startups, global experience, and hands-on operational skills make him the ideal leader for T-Hub. His leadership will play a crucial role in making India a powerhouse of entrepreneurship,” he said.
BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman of Cyient and Founding Director at T-Hub, said “Kavikrut’s appointment as CEO marks a significant milestone for T-Hub. His entrepreneurial mindset and proven track record of leading high-performance teams will be instrumental in shaping India’s next generation of startups.''

Holding an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MSc in Finance from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Kavikrut started his career as a healthcare startup founder and later worked with leading companies such as Amazon and Piramal Group.

Engineering goods exports from India reach all-time high in FY25, hitting $116 67 billion
