Mumbai, May 6 (UNI) Erasing early gains, the Sensex dropped 237 pts at 80,559.56 till noon trade today, on profit booking by local operators.
Even, selling in Oil and Gas, Power and Realty stocks, pushed the market weak at noon trade.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) slipped 68.60 pts at 24,392.55.
The Sensex that was moved up over 100 pts, slipped more than 200 pts till noon as it registered day high at 80,981.58 and day low at 80,510.15 respectively.
The Nifty registered days high at 24,509.65 and low at 24,356.75 pts.
The Mid cap fell 1.12 pc while Small cap 1.05 pc.
In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 2.55 pc to Rs 825.20, Adani Ports by 1.96 pc to Rs 1320.40, SBI by 1.97 pc to Rs 774.45 and NTPC by 1.88 pc to Rs 342.
The gainers were M& M by 2.09 pc to Rs 3084.65, Bharti Airtel by 1.89 pc to Rs 1900.80, Tata Steel by 1.41 pc to Rs 144.10 and Nestle India Ltd by 1.02 pc to Rs 2254.10.
