Sensex ends flat at 77,505.96 pts

Mumbai, Feb 1 (UNI) The equity market on Saturday ended flat at 77,505.96, with a meagre gain of 5.39 pts in volatile trade, as stocks include Realty, Consumer Durable and Auto rose
While the National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 26.25 pts at 23,482.15.
No positive impact of the union budget was seen on the stock market on Saturday.
After a four-day rally, the Sensex opened higher at 77,637.01, up 137 pts. It rallied 399 pts at 77,899.05, the day's high.
In late trade, it tanked 494 pts at 77,006.47, day's low, before closing at 77,505.96, easing 5.39 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 23,632.45 and 23,318.30 pts respectively.
The stocks that gained were Realty by 3.69 pc, Consumer Durable by 2.47 pc and Auto by 1.75 pc.
The mid cap slid 0.49 pc while the small cap slid by 0.28 pc.
In 31 scrips, 16 advanced while 15 declined.
The gainers were Zomato by 6.76 pc to Rs 235.25, ITC Hotel by 4.98 pc to Rs 172.85, Maruti Suzuki by 4.71 pc to Rs 12887.80 and Health Care by 3.01 pc to Rs 461.
The losers were Powergrid by 3.71 pc to Rs 290.65, L & T by 3.02 pc to Rs 3459.60, NTPC by 1.90 pc to Rs 318.10 and HCL Technology by 1.87 pc to Rs 1693.
