Sensex ends all-time high at 80,519.34 pts

Mumbai, July 12 (UNI) Snapping a losing streak of the last two sessions, the BSE Sensex on Friday zoomed 622 points to a new high at 80,519.34 following gains in IT, technology, and energy stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) surged 180.20 points to 24,502.15.
The day opened on a strong note, opening at 80,093.62. During the day, it spurted 995 points at 80,892.51 days high before closing at 80,519.34 from its previous close.
The stocks that lifted the market were ITC by 4.32 pc, Technology by 3.29 pc, FMCG by 0.24 pc, and Energy by 0.13 pc.
The NSE registered days high and low at 24,592.20 and 24,331.15 pts, respectively.
In 30 scrips, 10 advanced, 10 declined, and one remained unchanged.
The midcap fell 0.22 pc and the small cap by 0.13 pc.
The gainers were TCS by 6.68 pc to Rs 4184.90, Infosys by 3.57 pc to Rs 1712, HCL Technology by 3.20 pc to Rs 1560.40, and Tech Mahindra by 3.19 pc to Rs 1505.35.
The losers were Maruti Suzuki by 1 pc to Rs 12,585.75, Asian Paints by 0.79 pc to Rs 2999.50, Kotak Bank by 0.77 pc to Rs 1830.05, and ICICI Bank by 0.56 pc to Rs 1232.95.
