Rupee falls by 8 paise against USD

Mumbai, June 16 (UNI) The Rupee on Monday fell by 8 paise at 86.16, a two-month low in the opening session, on strong dollar demand by bankers and importers amid rising crude oil prices.

The currency opened 10 paise down at 86.18 against the dollar. It closed the previous session at 86.08.

The partially convertible rupee recorded intra-day highs and lows at 86.12 and 86.24, respectively, dealers added.

Bank loan recovery improves in UP

Lucknow, Jul 12(UNI) Bank loan recovery has improved significantly over the past year in Uttar Pradesh, reports here said.
According to a joint report submitted by banks to the government recently, pending recovery certificates (RCs) have decreased from 23.23 lakh to 9.32 lakh, a reduction of 13.91 lakh. The pending amount associated with these certificates has also decreased from Rs 36,994 crore to Rs 17,856 crore.
