Mumbai, Aug 27 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday ended almost flat at 81,711.76,
rising 13.65 pts as buying was seen in Technology, Financial Services, and Telecommunications stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) moved up by 7.15 pts at 25,017.75.
Lacklustre trading was seen during the session, as the Sensex opened at 81,815.23, up 117 pts. During the day it added 221 pts at 81,919.11, a day high, before closing at 81,711.76, gaining 13.65 pts from its last close.
It registered a day low at 81,600.51, declining 98 pts.
The NSE registered days high and low at 25,073.10 and 24,973.65 pts respectively.
The stocks remained positive were Telecommunications by 1.13 pc, Technology by 0.70 pc, and Financial Services by 0.68 pc.
The Mid-cap gained 0.58 pc while the Small-cap rose by 0.50 pc.
In 30 scrips, 11 advanced, and 19 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 2.07 pc to Rs 1721.55, Maruti Suzuki by 2.04 pc to Rs 1296.60, L& T by 1.71 pc to Rs 3702.40 and Bajaj Finance by 1.37 pc to Rs 6869.
The losers were Titan by 2.19 pc to Rs 3550.70, JSW Steel by 2.01 pc to Rs 943.75, Hind Unilever by 1.90 pc to Rs 2767.15, and Tata Motors by 1.37 pc to Rs 1077.20.
