Rice manufacturers Halder Group forays into four more foreign markets

Kolkata, Sep 28 (UNI) Halder Group, a leading rice and edible oil manufacturer of eastern India, has forayed into four new markets abroad — Ghana, Benin, Cameroon, and Togo - marking a significant growth in its global footprint, according to a top company official.
The company is now doing business in 18 countries, spread across Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa, Chairman and Director Prabhat Kumar Haldar said here.
"Established in 1924, we started with a single factory in Bengal, and today, we stand as a global enterprise," Halder said at the company's centenary celebrations.
Among other countries where the group is present as exporter or importer are Myanmar, Ukraine, Nepal, China, Brazil, Argentina, Gambia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Sierra Leone.
The company, listed on BSE since 2016, has a market capital of Rs 278 crores, with its annual revenues touching Rs 643 crore in FY2024.
The Group has also expanded further in the domestic market, by launching its edible oil brand, Odaana, in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities of Eastern India, and plans to make the product available in all cities across the nation.
The company marked an impressive growth of 76.42% over the previous year in FY2024.
It's EBITDA soared to Rs 41.72 crores, reflecting a robust growth rate of 106%.
