New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Driven by pick-up in domestic consumption and improved compliance, India's gross goods and services tax (GST) collection rose 9.1% year-on-year to Rs 1,83,646 crore in the month of February 2025.
The total GST collection in February 2024 was Rs 1,68,337 crore.
The official data released on Saturday showed net GST revenue, after adjusting refunds, stood at Rs 1,62,758 crore in February this year as compared to Rs 1,50,528 crore in the same month last year thus showing a growth of 8.1%.
Total refunds during the month of February 2025 stood at Rs 20,889 crore, up 17.3% year-on-year.
In February this year, Central GST (CGST) stood at Rs 35,204 crore, State GST (SGST) at Rs 43,704 crore, Integrated GST (IGST) at Rs 90,870 crore and Cess at Rs 13,868 crore.
Gross domestic revenue in February this year rose 10.2% year-on-year to Rs 1,41,945 crore while revenue from imports increased 5.4% to Rs 41,702 crore.
