Bengaluru emerges as global nerve centre for incense trade with 12th international expo

Bengaluru, May 7 (UNI) Bengaluru is fast emerging as a global nerve centre for the incense and fragrance trade, with the city set to host one of the world’s largest B2B gatherings in the sector, reinforcing its position as India’s manufacturing and innovation hub for aromatic products.
The 12th International Agarbatti & Perfume Expo 2026, to be held from May 9 to 11 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), will bring together over 150 exhibitors and trade participants from more than 10 countries, marking a significant consolidation of the global incense and fragrance ecosystem in the city.
Organised by Incense Media, the expo signals a strategic shift in the industry’s centre of gravity from traditional trade hubs to Bengaluru, which is increasingly being recognised as the incense and fragrance capital of India due to its strong manufacturing base and export-oriented ecosystem.
The three-day event will see participation from international buyers and delegations from countries including Jamaica, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, alongside thousands of domestic trade visitors representing manufacturing, distribution and retail networks.
Industry stakeholders say the move to Bengaluru reflects a broader transformation in the sector, where traditional aromatic practices are merging with modern production technologies, packaging innovations and global supply chain integration.
“The move to Bengaluru is a strategic step for our 12th edition. By bringing the industry’s largest gathering to this manufacturing powerhouse, we are creating a high-impact environment where local artisans and large-scale manufacturers can connect directly with global partners,” said Deepak Goyal, Founder, Incense Media.
Positioned around the theme “Future Scenting”, the expo will focus on bridging heritage-based incense production with advanced manufacturing systems, sustainable packaging and global market expansion strategies.
The exhibition will feature agarbatti, dhoop, cones, sambrani, pooja kits, camphor, perfumery solutions, aromatic chemicals, machinery and packaging technologies, creating a comprehensive trade ecosystem for the sector.
Beyond business networking, the event will host symposiums, panel discussions and workshops on fragrance trends, export opportunities, sustainable packaging and innovation in perfumery. Interactive sessions on blending techniques and aroma profiling will also be conducted by industry experts.
The expo will also serve as a major B2B gateway, enabling manufacturers, exporters, raw material suppliers and distributors to connect directly with international procurement delegations, strengthening India’s position in the global fragrance value chain.
The event is supported by Title Sponsor DevDarshan and several industry players including Delta Brand, Laxmi Products, Damordardas Bhagwandas Sugandhi, Forest Fragrance, Sree Trading Co., and Ocean’s Deep Printers.
Incense Media said the expo aims to further accelerate India’s leadership in the global incense and fragrance industry by fostering innovation, collaboration and long-term trade partnerships from Bengaluru.
