Zoom expands contact center capabilities in India with native phone number Availability

Hyderabad, Apr 9 (UNI) Zoom Communications on Thursday announced the availability of native India phone numbers for its Zoom Contact Center across six telecom circles, strengthening its cloud-based customer service capabilities in the country.
The service is now live in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Karnataka (Bengaluru), and Andhra Pradesh & Telangana (Hyderabad), enabling organisations to deliver AI-powered and compliant customer experiences through cloud contact centre services, the company said in a release.
Zoom said the service is being provided through Zoom India, which holds a pan-India Unified Licence from the Department of Telecommunications, allowing businesses to offer local cloud contact centre services in accordance with Indian regulations.
Built as an AI-integrated platform, Zoom Contact Center combines voice, video, chat and digital channels into a single interface and offers agentic AI capabilities to help agents and improve customer interaction outcomes.
Zoom President of Product and Engineering Velchamy Sankarlingam said the move will help businesses deliver intelligent and personalised customer experiences while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Zoom India and SAARC Head Sameer Raje said India remains a key growth market for the company and the launch reflects its continued investment in locally relevant capabilities.
The company said the service uses Zoom’s data centres in India and operates over the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), allowing businesses to manage inbound and outbound calls across the country irrespective of location.
