Thiruvananthapuram Airport serves 2.36L passengers during Onam

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 18 (UNI) Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, the flagship company of the globally diversified Adani Group, saw a huge jump in the number of passengers passing through the Airport during the Onam festival.
From September 1 to 17, 2023, the Airport served over 2.36 lakh passengers, with over 1.3 lakh passengers traveling domestic routes and 1,12 lakh passengers on international sectors.

During the same period of the Onam celebration in 2024, the Airport saw 2.07 lakh passengers pass through the Airport, an increase of over 29,000 passengers.

Envisaging high passenger movement during Onam, the Airport had put in place several measures to facilitate smooth passenger journeys, including deputing more staff across the Terminal. A 10-day Onam celebration and shopping festival – Awesome Onam - was organised at the Airport to create an ambience of celebration for passengers and staff.
