Maruti Suzuki launches new Swift at starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki on Thursday launched the new Swift, the fourth generation premium hatchback, with a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The top-end variant of the car would cost Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom).
Unveiling the new car here on Thursday, the car company claimed that the fourth generation Swift is the most fuel-efficient hatchback in its segment, with efficiency of up to 25.75 km per litre.
Maruti Suzuki said that the car is upto 14pc more fuel efficient than the previous version.
The company announced that the new Swift can be owned through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe also at an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee starting from Rs 17 436.
The new Swift is powered by the Z-Series 1.2 L engine.
