Telangana: TVS Motors launches black edition of Apache RTR 160 series

Hyderabad. July 15 (UNI) TVS Motor Company (TVSM), a leading global automaker that operates in the two and three-wheeler segment, on Monday, announced the launch of ‘A Blaze of Black’ Dark Edition variant of the TVS Apache 160 series motorcycles, namely the TVS Apache RTR 160 and RTR 160 4V in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The Apache RTR 160 4V is India’s most powerful 160cc oil-cooled motorcycle putting out 17.6 PS @ 9250 power.
The Black Edition - TVS Apache RTR 160 series will be available at a special price of Rs 1, 09,990 (ex-showroom Hyderabad) for TVS Apache RTR 160 and Rs 1, 19,990 (ex-showroom Hyderabad) for the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
Speaking on the occasion, Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium, TVS Motor Company said that our market share in all two-wheeler segments was 7.5 percent in the country and these new premium motorcycles are manufactured at the Mysore plant in Karnataka.
The delivery time for the new motorcycles will be between 7-10 days, he informed and added that every two-years one Million new customers are added.
Both motorcycles come with best-in-segment performance features including three ride modes, digital LCD cluster, LED headlamp and tail lamp and GTT, Vimal said.
The segment's first ride modes are a combination of engine and ABS mode to give 3 modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain which are engineered for different riding environments, he said.
With a strong presence in over 60 countries, TVS Apache has become the fastest-growing premium motorcycle brand world over and has over 5.5 million customers across the world, he said.

Mumbai, June 13 (UNI) Rupee on Friday depreciated by 48 paise to close at 86.08 against the US dollar, due to a spike in global oil prices and a firm dollar amid rising tensions in the Middle East following a fresh Israel attack on Iran's nuclear sites, a trader said
Negative close in domestic equity markets and heavy FII outflows further contributed to the fall in the local unit, forex traders added
The currency opened 55 paise down at 86.15 against the dollar. It closed the previous session at 85.60.
