Delhi CM slams previous govt over ignoring dignified living for slum dwellers

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday hit out at the previous government for neglecting the poor, adding that thousands of flats that were built to house those living in slums were left vacant, and not allotted to them.
The CM visited Bhalswa, Jahangirpuri, and inspected the flats built for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), adding that these were ready by 2016, but the previous regime did not allot them to the beneficiaries, while the structures left abandoned for nine years are now in a dilapidated state.
