Elephant corridor along NH8 in Tripura is coming up by winter

Agartala, May 23 (UNI) The Tripura government has decided to build a dedicated safe corridor for wild elephants along National Highway 8 at Teliamura in Khowai district to ensure safe housing of jumbos in Atharamura hill range up to Baramura, which is expected to be completed by next winter.

Guwahati, May 22 (UNI) One person was arrested in Assam's Golaghat district on Thursday for his alleged involvement in killing a Royal Bengal Tiger,
The arrest took place following recovery of a carcass of an adult tiger from an area under Khumtai revenue circle during the day. Some parts of the tiger's body like the teeth, tail and claws were missing.
