New poster of "Batwara 1947" unveiled ahead of Independence day release

Mumbai, Jul 13 (UNI) The makers of "Batwara 1947", starring Sunny Deol, have released a new poster from the historical drama, revealing the first look of the character Krishna and adding fresh momentum to the film's promotional campaign.
Sharing the poster on X, the makers wrote, “When the world chose sides, HE chose dharma.”
"Batwara 1947" is a historical drama set against the backdrop of India's Partition. The film brings to life the story of the 1940s, a period when the country's partition impacted the lives of millions. Amidst the tragedy of fear, displacement, and separation, the film highlights courage, humanity, and moral values.
Along with Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, Khushi Hazare and Kanika Kapoor will be seen in lead roles in the film.
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, the film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The music is composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. Bankrolled by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit.
The picture is set to arrive in cinemas worldwide on August 14.
