New Delhi station stampede: MIM Prez Owaisi demands probe

Hyderabad, Feb 16 (UNI) AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday demanded an independent, judicially-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the New Delhi Railway Station stampede, in which 18 people have been killed.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform 'X', Owaisi demanded an independent inquiry into the 'systemic failures' of the Indian Railways.
"This was an avoidable tragedy. The BJP government is trying to cover up what happened. This is what needs to be done instead --- appointing an independent, judicially-monitored SIT to investigate the tragedy and An independent inquiry into the systemic failures of the Indian Railways,” the Hyderabad MP tweeted .
