Nerchowk Medical College to get robotic surgery this year: CM

Shimla, Oct 15 (UNI) Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu presided over the IRIS 2025 programme at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Nerchowk, Mandi district, yesterday.
He announced the launch of robotic surgery at the college this year and said that Rs 28 crore has been sanctioned for the installation of an MRI machine, which will be installed within two months.
He added that the state government has sanctioned Rs 12 crore for the Cath Lab in Nerchowk, of which Rs 9 crore has been disbursed. Furthermore, Rs 75 crore has been sanctioned for a smart diagnostic lab. Soon, all medical colleges will be able to perform 100 tests from a single blood sample, similar to AIIMS, Delhi.
