NEHUNSA announces indefinite cease-work in NEHU

Shillong, Nov 1 (UNI) The North Eastern Hill University Non-Teaching Staff Association (NEHUNSA) in Meghalaya on Friday announced an indefinite cease-work from November 4 to protest against the delay in the recruitment process for the post(s) advertised last year.
NEHUNSA President, W.R.Synrem said the decision to cease work was taken at the general body meeting of the association on October 29 after the varsity authorities failed to expedite the recruitment process for the past year despite several communications and reminders.
The advertisement for the posts was published on November 3, 2023.

Kolkata, May 19 (UNI) A day after the TMC withdrew its MP Yusuf Pathan from the Centre's 'Operation Sindoor' global outreach programme, party general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Monday said it has not boycotted the drive, but "it is not acceptable naming a party MP unilaterally without consultation."
"How could the Centre unilaterally decide on the representative of the Trinamool Congress in the delegation without discussing the matter with the party," questioned Abhishekh Banerjee at the Dum Dum airport before leaving for New Delhi.
