Mumbai, May 13 (UNI) Actor couple Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi are set to appear together as hosts for the first time with their upcoming non-fiction show "Double Date", whose trailer has now been unveiled.
The trailer offers a lively glimpse of laughter, fun games, interesting conversations and memorable moments with popular celebrity couples, friends, and special couples from the industry.
With its colourful and lighthearted approach, "Double Date" will be a perfect blend of humour, friendship, fun competitions and unpretentious conversations. Through go-karting, bowling, a pizza-making challenge, and many other fun activities, Neha and Angad will bring out the fun, emotional, and entertaining side of their guests.
The first episode of Double Date is scheduled to release on Thursday, on Dhupia's official YouTube channel. New episodes will air every Thursday thereafter. The first episode features comedy queen Bharti Singh with her husband, Harsh Limbachiyaa, providing a fun kickoff to the entire season.
The show will also feature several popular celebrity couples, including Huma Qureshi with her brother Saqib Saleem, Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundra, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani, Soha Ali Khan with her sister Saba Ali Khan, Aparshakti Khurana with his wife Aakriti Khurana, Rhea Chakraborty with her brother Showik Chakraborty and Rasika Dugal with her husband Mukul Chaddha. Guests like Cyrus Broacha, Cyrus Sahukar, and many others will also add to the entertainment quotient.
Talking about the show, Dhupia and Bedi said in a joint statement, "We started Double Date because we wanted to create something together that would be truly fun not only for us but also for the audience. After understanding both aspects of conversation and interview, we wanted to provide our guests with a safe and comfortable environment where they could let loose, be emotional, do things spontaneously and be themselves without fear."
They further stated, "The show gave us the opportunity to go on crazy dates with our close friends, try new things, and create many memorable moments that we might never have been able to. From pizza-making competitions to bowling and go-karting, every moment was filled with laughter, fun, truth, and joy. It was an amazing experience for all of us."
The duo further described the project as their first major foray into digital non-fiction content together, noting that conceptualising and building the show from scratch proved both creatively demanding and deeply gratifying. UNI NST SSP
