Nearly 32 lakh e-tourist visas issued in the last one year

New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) Government informed Parliament on Thursday that nearly 32 lakh e-tourist visas have been issued to foreign tourists in the last one year. Quoting the Bureau of Immigration figures, Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat informed the Rajya Sabha that the country has issued 31.74 lakh e-tourist Visas between November 1, 2024 and November 30, 2025.
In a written reply to a question related to foreign tourist arrivals (FTAs) into India, Shekhawat said that 99.52 lakh foreign visitors visited India in the calendar year 2024. The top five source markets for visitors for the country are the USA, Bangladesh, UK, Australia and Canada.
In the first half of the current calendar year, 42.63 lakh tourists visited India, the minister informed.
