NCP sends members on tour amid rising BJP influence in Satara

Kolahpur, Feb 18 (UNI) Amid a power struggle in the Satara Zilla Parishad (ZP), tensions are rising as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seeks to consolidate control.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which recently secured 20 seats, reportedly organised a tour for its newly elected members, citing concerns over the BJP’s growing influence in the district.
The NCP and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), which won 15 seats, have registered their separate groups with the District Collector’s Office, while the BJP, despite emerging as the largest party with 27 seats, aimed to seize power independently under the slogan of self-reliance. However, the BJP has been unable to form the government.
