The Hague, May 15 (UNI) The decision whether or not to invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the NATO summit in The Hague rests with the alliance's secretary-general, Mark Rutte, Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp said on Thursday.
"I will be very happy to host President Zelenkyy and the Ukrainian delegation in The Hague. It is, of course, not me as a host country, it is the secretary general of NATO who will decide on what the invitations will be," Veldkamp told reporters in a doorstep comment at the informal summit of NATO foreign ministers.
On Wednesday, the Italian Ansa news agency reported, citing a source in NATO, that the United States is against inviting Zelenskyy to the summit of the alliance in The Hague.
