PM Modi pitches India as trusted global hub for Semiconductor industry at SEMICON India 2026

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the fifth edition of SEMICON India 2026 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, projecting India's rapidly expanding semiconductor ecosystem as a key pillar of its ambition to become a trusted and preferred destination for global manufacturing, technology, innovation and investment. The three-day event, being held from September 17 to 19, brings together more than 600 exhibitors, including around 300 international companies, over 150 speakers and delegations from more than 40 countries.
