India Post orders FIR, blacklisting for identity fraud in GDS recruitment; tightens verification

New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) The Department of Posts has ordered the cancellation of candidature, termination, registration of FIRs, and blacklisting from future Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) engagement cycles in cases where candidates are found to have manipulated records, disguised their identities to bypass age or eligibility criteria, or submitted fake certificates. The department has introduced a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) following reports of significant discrepancies between candidates' class 10 records and their identity credentials or Aadhaar update history during GDS online recruitment cycles.
