Operation Drishti: Armed Forces conduct 364 eye surgeries in Kashmir

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has performed 364 sight-restoring eye surgeries across two mega surgical camps in Kashmir under Operation Drishti, extending advanced ophthalmic care to people in remote and forward areas of the Valley. The 11th Mega Eye Surgical Camp under Operation Drishti concluded at 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar, on September 30, marking the completion of the Kashmir leg of the initiative. The surgical team from Army Hospital (Research & Referral) (AHRR), led by Brigadier Sanjay Kumar Mishra, conducted surgeries for cataract, glaucoma, pterygium and retinal conditions.
