16 of 22 industrial units found violating pollution norms in Hapur; two sealed

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) Sixteen of 22 industrial units inspected in Hapur were found violating environmental norms during an inspection drive by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), with two non-conforming units subsequently sealed by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB), officials said on Wednesday. The inspection was carried out on Tuesday by seven CAQM flying squads in coordination with the Hapur district administration and other authorities concerned. The teams inspected industrial units across Masuri-Gulawati Road, Pilkhuwa, Ravali-Shekhpur-MG Road, Tatarpur-Garh Road, Railway Road-Textile Centre Road and Ravala-Shekhar.
