ECI Extends SIR Deadlines in Delhi, Maharashtra and Four States; Final Rolls Due on November 30 in Five States

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) The Election Commission of India has extended deadlines for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Nagaland, giving voters and election officials additional time to submit claims and objections, verify entries and complete the process before publication of the final electoral rolls. In separate orders issued on Thursday, October 29, the Commission extended the deadline for filing claims and objections in Delhi to November 25 and in Maharashtra to November 13.
