New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) Police on Saturday detained hundreds of protesters, including Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, economist Jean Dreze, besides dozens of political and social activists, in a bid to thwart a protest at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar, the country's chief election commissioner. The BJP on Saturday accused the Rahul Gandhi-led INDIA bloc and the CJP of attempting to destabilise the country, calling them "anarchist" groups and alleged that the protests were "driven by political motives and foreign forces."
