Nasik Election: Over 13 lakh voters will decide the fate of the Municipal Corporation

Nasik, Jan 14 (UNI) The voting process for 122 seats in 31 wards of the Municipal Corporation will be held on Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM at 1563 polling stations. Of these, 266 centres are sensitive and special precautions will be taken there. In this election, 13,60,722 voters will exercise their right to vote.
After the campaigning period ended on Tuesday evening, the municipal administration has accelerated its election preparations. Measures are being taken to ensure that the voting process is conducted peacefully, transparently, and in a free environment. A total of 1563 polling stations have been designated in the municipal area. The total number of voters includes 6,56,675 women, 7,03,968 men, and 79 transgender voters.
4860 ballot units and 1800 control units (including reserve units) have been made available for the voting process. The authorities have informed that 8800 officers and employees have been appointed for election duty. Since the campaigning period has ended, a warning has been issued that if any candidate or worker is found campaigning publicly, legal action will be taken against them according to the rules of the Election Commission and the Representation of the People Act.
