Nashik: Truck, tanker driver killed in highway accident

Nashik, Apr 18 (UNI) A tanker and a truck collided, killing their drivers, on the Samruddhi Expressway near Maldon Shivar in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to Vavi polices Milind Sarvade, the traffic control officer of the Samruddhi Highway, received information about the horrific accident that took place after midnight in Maldon Shivar on the Samruddhi Highway. He contacted the traffic control rooms at Shirdi, Sinnar, Gonde and Vavi police stations and informed them about the incident. .
The driver of the cargo truck, which was carrying beer bottles from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, stopped the truck on the Maldon Shivar road to change a punctured tire. While they were removing the punctured tyre, an empty petrol tanker hit the stationary truck. Both the truck and the tanker driver were killed.
