NALCO pays record dividend of Rs.988.88 cr to GOI

Bhubaneswar, Nov 13 (UNI) National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has declared a record dividend of Rs.1,928.46 crore for the financial year 2024–25.
Out of the total dividend, the Government of India’s share amounts to Rs.988.88 crore, marking the highest-ever dividend payment by NALCO.
The dividend cheque was handed over to union Minister of Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, by NALCO CMD Brijendra Pratap Singh at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Since commencing commercial operations in 1987, NALCO has consistently demonstrated strong financial performance.
The company has been earning profits and declaring dividends every year since 1992.
So far, NALCO has paid a cumulative dividend of Rs.14,331 crore, out of which Rs.9,556 crore has been remitted to the Government of India, which currently holds 51.28 percent equity in the company.
During the first half of the current financial year (2025–26), NALCO recorded robust physical and financial results.
Following its exceptional Q2 performance, which marked the company’s best-ever quarterly and half-yearly results, NALCO has declared an interim dividend of Rs.4 per equity share (an 80 percent payout on the face value of Rs.5 each), totalling Rs.734.65 crore for FY 2025–26.
