Myanmar introduces electric bus service for public transport

Yangon, Aug 5 (UNI) Myanmar has recently introduced its first electric bus service for public transportation between Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, according to a local express bus company on Monday.
"We imported electric buses, and Mandalar Minn bus line is now operating them. We already imported two electric buses. We planned to bring in two more electric buses in December. They are from China," U Aung Thu, chairman of the Aung Gyi Group of Companies, told Xinhua on Monday.
"We chose to import the electric buses from China because China is leading the electric vehicle industry," U Aung Thu said.
