Muzaffarnagar: College student severely injured after self-immolation bid

Muzaffarnagar, Nov 08 (UNI) A second-year undergraduate student of DAV PG College, Budhana, in Muzaffarnagar district, suffered serious burn injuries on Saturday after reportedly attempting to self immolate inside the college campus.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage among the students and locals, who allege that the student had been humiliated and mistreated by the college administration over unpaid fees.
The injured student, identified as Ujjwal Rana, is a resident of Khakroban village and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital and later referred to Meerut due to the severity of his injuries. Doctors have described his condition as critical and added that he is under treatment.
