Muslim community contributes to Hindu girl’s treatment

Raigad, Nov 8 (UNI) In a moving display of interfaith solidarity, residents of Neral village in Raigad district have come together to support the medical treatment of a Hindu schoolgirl who suffered grievous injuries in a recent accident.
Members of the Muslim community have taken the lead in raising funds for her ongoing treatment, setting a heartening example of unity and humanity.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, when Kanishka Prakash Lohi, a Class IX student, fell from the balcony of her second-floor residence, sustaining severe head and leg injuries. Local hospitals were initially unable to admit her due to the seriousness of her condition, prompting her family to rush her to Global Hospital in Mumbai’s Malad area. Doctors have stated that her medical expenses are likely to run into several lakhs of rupees.
