Municipal Election: 'Don't campaign here ; Gun pointed at AAP candidate in Nashik, tensions rise

Nashik, Jan 13 (UNI) The political atmosphere in Nashik has heated up considerably in the run-up to the municipal elections. A shocking incident occurred in Ward No. 11 of Nashik, when a gun was pointed directly at Samadhan Aher, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate, in the Satpur area of Nashik. He was also threatened and told not to campaign in the area.
The AAP has made a serious claim regarding this incident. They allege that the accused who pointed the gun at Samadhan is a worker of Prakash Londhe, the district president of the Republican Party of India (RPI). Prakash Londhe is currently in jail and is contesting the election from there.
Following the incident, a mob beat up the young man who pointed the gun and handed him over to the police. The entire incident was captured on mobile phones by Aam Aadmi Party workers.
