Mumbai boy, 10, drowns in Andheri lake; search ops underway

Mumbai, July 13 (UNI) A 10-year-old boy allegedly drowned while swimming in a private lake in Andheri West on Monday afternoon, officials said.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the incident was reported at 1315 hrs from Wireless Compound, Juhu Gully, D.N. Nagar, behind Jagrut Hanuman Temple.
Preliminary information suggests that two to three children from a nearby slum had gone to the lake for swimming when one of them drowned. The deceased was identified as Dinesh Basawraj Harijan (10), police said.
