Mumbai: BMC clarifies death of two patients in govt hospital not due to Covid 19

Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday clarified that the deaths of two patients at the state government-run King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital in Parel, were due to co-morbidities and not because of COVID-19.
The civic body advised citizens not to panic while all precautions should be taken .
It may be recalled that a 59-year-old woman with cancer and a 14-year-old girl with kidney disease died at KEM hospital. Both tested positive for COVID-19 posthumously.
