More 700 marathoners from 22 states run 60-km ultra marathon on 19,000 ft high Adi Kailash

Dehradun Nov 2 (UNI) Uttarakhand's first high-altitude, ultra marathon run held at more than 19,000 feet Himalayan height witnessed more than 700 participants from across India.
The 60-kilometer-long marathon was organised in lower than minus 15 degrees celsius as a part of state's silver jubilee celebrations targeted promotion of Winter tourism in the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that High Altitude Ultra Marathon Run organised in the shadow of sacred spiritual heritage site of state Adi Kailash will unveil a new preposition to Uttarakhand's adventure sports potential, natural heritage and tourism. State Tourism department officials informed that 60-km-long run took off from Adi Kailash with participation of over 700 runners from 22 states across the country under minus 15 degree temperature early morning.
