Modi’s address to nation a violation of model code, waslike a BJP leader’s fulmination and not that of a PM: Stalin

Chennai, April 19 (UNI): Describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’saddress as a lamentation following the defeat of the Delimitation Bill, couched in the garb of Women’s Reservation, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Sunday charged him with violating the model code as it was that of a BJP leader’s fulmination and that of the PM.
Addressing an election rally at Hosur in Krishnagiridistrict, he said “He is rattled and speaking like this because of the defeat sufferedin parliament for the first time. With the backdrop of the National tricolour, he was castigating the opposition as though he was addressing an election rally which is a crystal clear violation. He thought that he could get through as we are in the midst of an election.”
“It was a resounding defeat for the NDA. For we didn’t lie low and the people of the southern states were enraged. Now, he is levelling an unfounded allegation that we have stalled the Women’s Reservation Bill notcut ice anymore. What he had attempted to sneak through during elections has boomeranged on him, depriving him of the investment he had made in this,” hesaid, asserting that “It is a good day since with April 17, the NDA chapter isclosed. We have shattered the NDA which enjoys a majority in parliament.”
