Modi has almost destroyed all autonomous institutions, sans judiciary: Sibal

Chandigarh, May 29 (UNI) Lamenting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has "almost destroyed" all the robust and autonomous institutions in the country except the judiciary, former Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Wednesday accused the PM of lowering the "prestige and dignity" of the high office he holds.
“Our independence and democracy are in grave peril today”, Sibal warned, addressing a media conference here in support of the INDIA bloc candidate from Chamdigarh Manish Tewari.
"It is lamentable that PM Modi has almost destroyed all the robust and autonomous institutions in the country except the judiciary," he said, while accusing Modi of lowering the "prestige and dignity" of the office of the Prime Minister.
