Modi Govt's 12 year tenure marked by all round development: Shivraj

Patna, June 17 (UNI) union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Wednesday that India has witnessed all-round development during the 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi''s tenure.
Addressing a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state headquarters here, Chouhan said that before 2014, India was passing through a period of economic, social and cultural pessimism. However, after Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister in 2014, the country witnessed comprehensive development and gained greater respect and recognition on the global stage.
Describing Bihar as the land of great leaders and thinkers, Chouhan said the state had produced eminent personalities such as Jayaprakash Narayan and Rajendra Prasad. He said Bihar was steadily progressing and making a significant contribution to the country''s overall development.

Festival of chariot, Kang celebrated in Manipur

Imphal, Jul 16 (UNI) The festival of Chariot, Kang (Ratha Yatra) was celebrated today in a grand manner in Manipur. Devotees flocked to Shri Shri Govindajee temple to offer prayers as priests performed rituals to Lord Jagannath, Lord Bhalabhadra and Goddess Shubadra.
The Divine Lords and Goddess ascended the chariot attended by large numbers of people.
