Modi govt committed to attaining goal of
Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviews J&K security along with LG Manoj Sinha in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 6 (UNI) union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday underscored the "unwavering commitment" of the Narendra Modi government to attain the goal of "terror-free Jammu and Kashmir."
Shah was chairing a high-level security review meeting at Lok Niwas on Jammu and Kashmir, where innovative measures to further reinforce the watertight security cordon were discussed.
Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, union Home Secretary, Director (IB), Chief of Army Staff, Chief Secretary and Director General Police of Jammu and Kashmir, Heads of CAPFs and other Senior Officers were present in the meeting.
Shah appreciated the efforts of the security agencies in dismantling the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, "The terror eco-system nurtured by elements inimical to our country in J&K has been almost crippled due to the concerted efforts of the Modi Government."
Union Home Minister said efforts for de-radicalisation have seen major success in accelerating our vision for a terror-free J&K.
He called for more steps for youth engagement, and major initiatives to build up a start-up ecosystem. The sports sector needs to be harnessed to ensure youths are engaged in income-generating activities.
Shah directed all security agencies to remain alert and continue work in coordination to sustain the recent gains and achieve the goal of ‘terror-free J&K’ at the earliest.
Shah assured that all the resources would be made available in this endeavour.
Shah, who arrived here on Thursday night, is on a two-day visit to J&K. UNI VBH SSP
