Mobile healthcare unit comes in handy for villagers around Odisha’s Gopalpur Port

Bhubaneswar, May 19 (UNI) A mobile healthcare initiative launched by the Adani Foundation in collaboration with HelpAge India has emerged as a vital healthcare support system for thousands of people living in villages around Gopalpur Port.
The Mobile Healthcare Unit, launched in October last year by Chatrapur Tehsildar Divya Mohanty, was introduced to address the healthcare challenges faced by rural residents, particularly elderly persons, differently abled individuals, bedridden patients and daily wage earners who often struggle to travel to hospitals for routine treatment and check-ups.
Officials associated with the programme said the initiative has so far benefited more than 13,000 people, including around 7,500 women and 5,500 men, through medical consultations, health screening and free distribution of medicines.
